To be used by the community, not just footballers, the Rugby, cricket, runners and visitors to the park will all be able to use should the need suffice.

The installation of this came about due to the tragic death of a young female footballer in East Lancs last year and it was decided that it would be a great idea to try and get one fitted in our park.

Fortunately for the club, our Under 18’s manager Pat Jones has a good link with the North West Ambulance Service and was able to secure a Defibrillator free of charge.

The only cost would be for the cabinet but in the end the NWAS even gave us that for free. The Council Parks Department have paid for the installation and will maintain it.

We as a club and the Parks Dept will be donating to the NWAS Charity Trust to say thank you, as the original cost for all this would have been around £1800 in total.
