Let us show you what a hero is.
This is Ryan Catlin the Manager of Horndean under 9s. He worked hard with the team and dedicated his evenings and weekends like most coaches but in 2023 Ryan got diagnosed with follicular lymphoma which meant he would have to go through treatment to try and beat that nasty cancer.
Ryan attended hospital everyday for radiotherapy whilst working, and still managed coaching in the evenings and attending weekend games, he is a great coach and has brought the team on lots, we appreciate all what he has done from all at Horndean and want to thank him for everything he has done.
Ryan has now had the all clear after radiotherapy and we are all proud of how he has carried on as manager of the Horndean youth
