Professional footballers retired and current were challenged to see if they could last a day as a grassroots volunteer – with mixed results.
Ryan Giggs, Martin Keown, Sir Geoff Hurst and Kyle Walker all took part in the fun, as part of McDonald’s Community Awards for 2017.
And as you can see from the above video, they all got their hands dirty painting the lines, making the teas and even cleaning the toilets.
Walker (who intelligently swerves some of the harder jobs) is first to appear in the clip, and quickly gets to work overseeing a game.
Giggs follows the Tottenham stars’ lead, and cannot help himself getting involved in the game when the ball comes his way – you never lose it.
Meanwhile World Cup winner Hurst takes care of polishing trophies in the club house while Martin Keown rolls up his sleeves.
For whatever reason the Arsenal star has apparently drawn the short straw and spends the first part of his day cleaning the exterior walls of the club house.
He then finds himself inside, in the toilet, with a plunger in his hand.
