Sick theives steal grassroots club’s new kit. Anyone with information urged to contact police.

As if running a grassroots team wasn’t hard enough, sick theives have stolen a brand new kit from a grassroots club.

The kit had been left in a “safe place” by the delivery and awaiting collection by the manager. Unfortunately opportunistic theives have stolen the parcel containing the new kit.

A statement from the club as follows.

As a FA Charter Standard Community Club, we are always extremely grateful to the FA, who together with McDonalds, provide us with 2 free kits a year.

This year we ordered an away kit for our younger age groups which is shown in the picture below – 11 Nike Orange and Black tops, 1 Nike Green goalkeeper top, 12 Nike Black shorts and 12 Nike Red socks.

This is an image of the stolen kit

This was delivered to one of our managers houses on Monday 1st August and left in a “safe” place. Unfortunately it would appear someone has seen the delivery take place and has taken the package, shown in the picture below, before our manager returned home.

If you hear or see anything regarding this kit, please do not hesitate to contact Nottinghamshire Police quoting Crime Number 16000220539
